OUR FIRST STUDIO RECORDING

On Thursday, 28th March 2019, students of the school’s choir warmed up their vocal cords early in the morning as they headed toward the Music School, where we recorded a Slovene folk song ‘Nadležna muha’.

We were awaited by the members of the cultural and art society KUD Notarima and the sound engineer Jože, who showed us the different recording equipment around the studio and explained the whole recording process. We listened to them very carefully. As for the talented singers, the song was then recorded swiftly, with enough time for us to sit, eat sweets and chat. The entire recording experience was amazing, so we hope to do it again sometime soon.

In the studio of the music school we were awaited by members of KUD Notari and tonic master Jože, who first showed us the recording equipment and explained the course of the recording. With interest, we listened to them and, with their eyes, swallowed the buttons on the mixing table. We then recorded the song very quickly and therefore, we have enough time for sweetening and chatting.

The experience of recording was amazing, so we hope to repeat it soon

WITH ROTARY CLUB LJUBLJANA TO THE MYSTERIOUS UNDERWORLD

On Wednesday, March 27th, 2019, we went on an eagerly anticipated trip to Postojna Cave and the Predjama Castle. The Rotary Club Ljubljana in cooperation with the Postojna Cave facilitated the tour.

We started the trip in Bela krajina in the early morning hours. As we arrived, there was the representative of the Postojna Cave, Mrs Mateja Rosa, a representative of the Rotary Club of Ljubljana, Jaka Pucihar with the president of the Rotary Club, Edward Škodič, waiting outside to great us. We then took an underground train ride of the Postojna Cave. Still enthusiastic from the ride, we followed a guide that showed us various cave formations and a world wonder – an olm or baby dragon. In the concert hall, our students sang a song ‘Ena ptička priletela’ and many foreign visitors could enjoy the way it sounded. We then took a tour of the vivarium, where we saw animals that have their habitat in the Postojna Cave. Students were later looking for those tiny animals who were hiding among the dripstones. In the end, we took a short drive to the Predjama Castle to get to know his history. Boys were especially excited as they could try on a knight’s helmet, hold a sword or helebard in their hands and for a brief moment became brave knights.

For most students, this was the first visit to the Postojna Cave, and for sure, this experience will remain for a long time in a beautiful memory. The camera also carefully monitored our visit, so we will be able to recall these memories in December, when the traditional charity Miklavž Concert will took place.

Once again, we thank the Rotary Club Ljubljana and Postojna Cave from our heart for donating us such a nice trip.
